Aren't you glad we
had no stink'n umpires in the GBA???
The Global Baseball League has a eight season history. The
GBA is a Strat-o-Matic computer league. This league is unique
we draft non-carded players
we use the Internet and e-mail to conduct business
many members have been in the league for more than 6
we have not had a repeat champion
we have career stats for all the players and teams
teams are "tied" to their Major League organization in that they
can protect minor leaguers from that organization
Check out the web site, especially the
constitution and the history sections. You will find that the members have
put a lot of thought and work into making this a very good and fun league
to be in.
We will expand after the 2000 season, if you would like a team
contact Rick Dean.
The Colorado Rockies swept the Detroit Tigers in the World Series,
after beating the record setting Reds in a 7 game NLCS. Bernie Williams
was voted as the MVP of the championship.
The Reds set a record with 126 wins. McGwire hit 77 homers
to also break his own record of last year.
